Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare individual and entity tax returns including business, estate, fiduciary, and gift tax.
  • Take the lead for client projects such as audits, planning, and business consulting.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and stay up to date with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accuracy of tax filings.
  • Assist in tax planning and provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting and tax-related tasks.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments in accounting and taxation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in personal and small business tax preparation and consulting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Proven experience in tax preparation and accounting services.
  • Knowledge of multi-state filings for individuals and small businesses.
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks.
  • Experience with Intuit ProSeries is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment, independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Intuit ProSeries is a plus.
