About the position

Kalos Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company's growth. The role involves advising S Corporations on tax strategies, optimizing tax efficiency, and navigating IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support company growth.
• Advise S Corporations on tax strategies, deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.
• Review and recommend improvements to business operations for tax efficiency.
• Guide on S Corporation distributions, shareholder taxation, and income allocations.
• Assist in understanding IRS regulations affecting S Corporations, including the 1120S form filing process.
• Support in handling audits, appeals, and disputes with the IRS or state authorities.

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the construction/trades industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
