About the position

Jambrina CPA PC is looking for a skilled and experienced CPA to join their dynamic tax team. This role involves overseeing complex tax preparation and planning, ensuring compliance with various tax regulations, and providing strategic insights for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, particularly with federal, state, and international regulations, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business federal tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065) across various industries.
• Prepare and review adjusting journal entries and calculated-to-tax differences for business returns.
• Prepare and review reconciles tax depreciation, gain & loss calculations, and asset roll forwards.
• Review U.S. international tax calculations and workpapers, including forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8804, and 1042.
• Prepare Texas Franchise Tax reports and state income tax returns.
• Manage extensions and quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments.
• Conduct tax research using available tools and software.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
• Respond to notices from tax authorities and tax audits.

Requirements

• CPA certification (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• Minimum of 10 years of U.S. federal and state tax compliance experience.
• Experience with international tax compliance (preferred).
• Proficiency in Thomson Reuters Tax Software (required).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, organization, communication, and analysis.
