About the position

If you are a CPA with five years' experience or more who wants to live and work in the beautiful Flathead Valley, this position is for you! A reputable CPA firm is seeking a highly detailed and financially minded individual for an open position. The primary responsibility will be the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships. The successful applicant will work closely with partners and will have the opportunity for broad exposure to a variety of accounting and financial planning activities, including reviews and financial statement preparation. In this role, you will establish the integrity of accounting and tax information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. You will analyze complex financial and tax reports and records, maintain the general ledger, prepare trial balances, and make reconciling entries. Additionally, you will be responsible for making journal entries for financial transactions and summarizing and preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. You will also prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns in compliance with federal and state government tax laws. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and comfortable using various tools such as QuickBooks and other accounting software. You must possess the ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Valid CPA license (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • 5 years of CPA experience (Required)
  • 5 years of tax experience (Required)
  • 5 years of general ledger accounting experience (Required)
  • 5 years of experience with QuickBooks (Required)
  • 5 years of experience with profit and loss statements (Required)
