About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, with a focus on financial auditing, regulatory reporting, and financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission of all necessary documentation.
  • Perform double entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee governmental accounting processes, including grant management and compliance.
  • Develop forecasts to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Interpret financial reports for stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of financial auditing practices.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Expertise in double entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficient in general ledger reconciliation techniques.
  • Skilled in balance sheet reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial reports clearly and effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus.
  • Experience with governmental accounting processes is beneficial.
