About the position

The CPG Industry IT Project Manager V role at CTG involves overseeing and managing high-priority projects within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. The position requires the creation and implementation of project plans, risk management, and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. The role emphasizes the use of project management tools and methodologies, particularly in an Agile environment, to achieve project goals and maintain alignment with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with the team to develop cost, schedule, resource, quality, and procurement plans.
  • Implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate project risk events.
  • Implement change management plan to ensure successful completion and integration of tasks.
  • Document high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment.
  • Monitor the status of identified risks and update the risk response plan accordingly.
  • Ensure timely updates to portfolio and project management tools (JIRA) following VISTA PMO practices.
  • Execute tasks as defined in the project plan to achieve project goals.
  • Obtain final acceptance of project deliverables from the sponsor or customer.
  • Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions to establish project deliverables.
  • Measure project performance to monitor progress, identify variances, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Develop a communication plan by identifying key project team members and defining roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • CPG Industry Experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Financial Management expertise
  • Experience managing projects with heavy integration across multiple platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Forecasting and capacity planning skills
  • Experience managing multiple vendors
  • 6-10+ years of experience leading high-priority projects
  • Knowledge of Agile project management tools
  • Experience with Jira Work Management
