About the position

The CPG Marketing Director will lead the marketing efforts for a reputable Korean food company, focusing on the Asian Foods category. This role involves strategic planning, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and profitability in various global markets. The director will work closely with the leadership team and manage a team to achieve category objectives while ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive strategies for growth and profitability in the Asian Foods category.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of products, analyzing consumer satisfaction and sales performance to inform portfolio adjustments.
  • Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations teams to align on product innovation and commercialization strategies.
  • Develop a category-specific marketing plan based on consumer insights and macro trends.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct quarterly business reviews to assess category success.
  • Manage category P&L, ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets and recommending initiatives to optimize profitability.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years in brand management or product marketing in the food industry, with at least 5 years in a Marketing Director or Senior Brand Manager role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic planning, category management, and P&L ownership.
  • Strong cross-functional relationship-building skills with a proven ability to drive initiatives within dynamic teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, along with IRI, Nielsen, and Spins analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in high-level presentations to leadership teams.
  • A passion for food and consumer insight-driven marketing; bilingual in Korean is required.
