About the position

The National Account Manager at Bagel Brands is responsible for leading customer relationships with CPG retailers, managing performance, and identifying growth opportunities within the existing customer base. This role is crucial for ensuring the availability of Bagel Brands' products in grocery stores and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to align on product offerings and promotions. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on customer leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with National Accounts
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for national account customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Develop and manage customer promotional plans and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure alignment on product offerings and promotions
  • Collaborate with sales team members to share insights and best practices
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to management
  • Develop customer level sales forecasts
  • Manage broker network, oversee and coordinate activities of external brokers to ensure alignment with sales objectives
  • Audit customer program execution
  • Analyze customer data and provide insights, adjust strategies based on performance data and feedback
  • Negotiate promotional agreements with national accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging market opportunities

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales within the CPG industry required
  • Experience calling on national accounts required (Kroger preferred)
  • Experience managing broker network
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and delivering against customer targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build internal and external facing presentations
  • Self-starter, takes an idea and runs with it
  • Demonstrates customer leadership, is the face of the organization to National Accounts
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving - cross functional leadership across the organization
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, takes on challenges, everyday is a new challenge
  • Demonstrates ability to develop account level distribution, promotion, pricing plans
