About the position

The Data Center Project Manager will oversee critical infrastructure improvement projects within Amazon's operational data centers. This role involves managing construction activities, optimizing utilization of space, power, and cooling, and ensuring project execution aligns with company strategy and goals. The Project Manager will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to tackle complex challenges in designing, building, and operating data facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.
• Identify areas for improvement based on data provided from other teams and organizations.
• Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
• Coordinate, implement, and control specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy and commitments.
• Manage construction activities within operational data center spaces.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• 3+ years experience in Construction or Project Management.

Nice-to-haves

• BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar Technical focus.
• 3+ years experience in Vendor Management.
• 3+ years experience in the technical field of power distribution and data center mechanical cooling systems.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with various stakeholders.
