About the position

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic BLS and HS AHA Instructors to educate individuals in essential first aid and CPR techniques. The role focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations, making a positive impact on the community through education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging and informative first aid and CPR training sessions for various audiences, including adults and youth.
• Develop lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and ensure comprehensive understanding of first aid techniques.
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
• Assess participants' understanding through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
• Stay current with the latest first aid guidelines and best practices to provide accurate information.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the training process.
• Promote safety awareness and encourage participants to apply their skills in real-life scenarios.

Requirements

• Proven experience in public speaking and classroom instruction, particularly in adult education settings.
• Strong knowledge of first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response protocols.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage participants effectively.
• A passion for educating others and promoting safety within the community.
• Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED instruction is required; additional certifications related to swimming or lifeguarding are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
