About The Position

The CPS Investigation Supervisor at CYFD is responsible for overseeing a unit of case workers who investigate child abuse and neglect referrals. This role involves assessing the risk and safety of children, supervising investigations, and ensuring the provision of quality family-centered services. The supervisor will also participate in management teams and prepare cases for court, contributing to the overall mission of improving the well-being of children and families in New Mexico.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university and licensure by the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners at the LBSW, LMSW, or LISW level.
• Two years of experience in social work/case management, behavioral health, or health care.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a unit of CPS Investigation Case Workers and Seniors.
• Review, assign, and monitor CPS investigations to ensure timely initiation and assessment of child safety.
• Reduce recurrence of maltreatment and re-entry into foster care through effective case management.
• Review and approve the unit's work to ensure quality family-centered services in CPS investigations.
• Review case assessments and dispositions to ensure quality investigations and ongoing protective services.
