About the position

The CPW Park Resource Technician IV position in Arboles, CO, is responsible for maintaining and managing park facilities and infrastructure to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for recreational activities. This role involves supervising maintenance personnel, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. The technician will also engage in natural resource management and provide visitor services, contributing to the overall mission of Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and manage maintenance needs of park grounds and infrastructure.
• Clean, repair, and operate equipment and facilities for park visitors and staff.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise temporary maintenance personnel and volunteers.
• Manage budgets and purchasing responsibilities for maintenance supplies and services.
• Prepare and maintain accurate program files and reports related to maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in park operations.
• Provide customer service and public relations support to park visitors.

Requirements

• At least four years of work experience in construction, carpentry, equipment operation, or related fields.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to use and operate computers and email.
