About the position

The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer at WSFS Bank is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, realtors, and governmental agencies to create lending opportunities that comply with the Community Reinvestment Act. This role focuses on selling and originating residential mortgage loans, particularly to low- and moderate-income borrowers, while ensuring the bank meets its sales goals and community service commitments.

Responsibilities

• Sell and originate residential mortgage loans to meet predetermined sales goals focused on CRA assessment area needs.
• Identify and meet with prospects to explain various mortgage products and determine the best alternatives together with them.
• Work with community-based organizations and municipalities to collect and submit subordinate financing for down payment assistance programs.
• Finalize sales and ensure compliance with lending regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year of experience marketing and originating CRA mortgage loans and loan products.
• Active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
• Proven effective sales skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes, and businesses for presentations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
