About the position

Iron Heart Canning is seeking a full-time Advanced Canning Technician to join their team. This role involves setting up and breaking down canning equipment, ensuring compliance with Clean-In-Place procedures, and operating and maintaining the canning line. The position is ideal for craft beer enthusiasts looking to enter the brewing industry, with opportunities for onsite training and growth.

Responsibilities

• Transport and set up/take down of heavy equipment in a box truck to and/or from canning runs
• Perform chemical mixing and sanitation procedures
• Set up and troubleshoot equipment such as labelers and date coders
• Conduct consistent quality checks
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment to meet Iron Heart standards
• Understand and adhere to company policies and rules
• Collaborate with other technicians and brewery staff
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy packaging machinery
• Perform packaging machinery repair and maintenance
• Manage customer interactions and provide direction to onsite technicians

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Understanding of mechanics
• Ability to learn onsite
• Multitasking skills
• Strong communication skills
• One year of packing machine operator experience preferred but not required

Nice-to-haves

• 4-year college degree preferred but not required
• Home brewing or brewery experience
• General appreciation for craft beer
