About the position

B. Braun Medical Inc. is seeking a Craftsperson Facilities to join our team in Allentown, PA. This full-time position operates on a 12-hour day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM. The Craftsperson will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance on facilities equipment and systems, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and effectively. This role is crucial in preventing downtime and minimizing interruptions in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a basic working knowledge of technical fields and will be able to apply principles, theories, and concepts to propose effective solutions to problems. In this position, you will routinely check machinery and systems for signs of faults and initiate improvements to enhance the functionality of facilities equipment. As a senior position, you may also act as a team leader, overseeing team members to ensure that work meets agreed targets. Documentation of activities is essential, and you will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices. The job function is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor. B. Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on facilities equipment and systems.
  • Repair malfunctions of machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Routinely check machinery and systems for signs of faults to prevent downtime.
  • Initiate improvements on the functionality of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Act as a team leader to oversee team members and ensure work meets targets.
  • Document activities and maintain records as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0.5 to 2 years of related experience or completion of PBS requirements with passing assessment.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedules as needed.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
