The CRDU Operations Strategy Data Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and implementing the bank's financial plans and stress testing methodologies. This position is responsible for assessing the bank's resilience under various economic scenarios, ensuring that the bank can withstand potential financial shocks. The analyst will focus on the development and implementation of stress testing methodologies, analyzing the results to identify vulnerabilities, assess capital adequacy, and inform risk mitigation strategies. This involves a comprehensive understanding of financial risks and the ability to communicate these risks effectively to relevant stakeholders. In addition to stress testing, the analyst will manage the bank's financial risks by developing and implementing risk management strategies. This includes analyzing the bank's capital position and assessing its ability to meet regulatory capital requirements. The analyst will also be tasked with developing capital management strategies to optimize capital utilization and evaluate the impact of capital allocation decisions on the bank's risk profile and financial performance. The role requires orchestration of process cycles for the Planning and Stress Testing FTC, project managing the delivery of the Planning Process and stress tests. The analyst will document requirements prescribed by the Regulator and track process/data owner progress through various reporting cycles. Management of data, data flows, and data quality from contributors is essential, ensuring that input through to report submission is seamless and accurate. Furthermore, the analyst will manage BAU systems to enable quick outcomes and iterative generation of Capital or Funding plans while driving process reengineering initiatives. Ownership of the control environment and standards is critical, partnering with BIA to ensure that the FTC meets its controls and governance objectives. Ongoing governance support, including regulatory liaison and engagement with the Group & BBUK Board, is also a key responsibility of this role.
