About the position

The Commercial Real Estate Group at Huntington Bank is seeking an entry-level Credit Analyst to support the commercial real estate lending process. This role involves gathering and analyzing financial information to assess creditworthiness, preparing evaluations of borrowers' financial conditions, and monitoring financial reporting requirements. The position serves as a stepping stone towards a career in commercial real estate lending, potentially leading to roles such as portfolio manager or relationship manager.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze all financial and business information to determine credit worthiness for loans.
• Prepare a written evaluation of borrowers' financial condition and future outlook, identifying strengths and risks associated with sponsors and guarantors.
• Obtain and follow up on all required documents.
• Monitor financial reporting requirements and analyze financial and loan information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor, required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet resources.

• Related internship/work experience in finance or banking preferred.
• Related internship/work experience in a Commercial Real Estate environment preferred.
