About the position

We are looking for a CRE Financial Analyst to be responsible for requesting, tracking, spreading, and analyzing financial data, tax information, and collateral values to determine a clients' credit worthiness and identify emerging credit risks. In this role, you will place calls to Private Bankers and Financial Advisors to update and complete financial statement requests and loan files. You will assist Portfolio Managers in evaluating financial spreads, cash flow, and credit documents, and you will be responsible for the credit analysis and monitoring of complex loans to High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. Additionally, you will ensure that loan information systems, databases, and departmental trackers are complete and accurate. Your responsibilities will also include preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management, recommending and implementing process improvements in coordination with Portfolio Managers, department heads, and other stakeholders to improve efficiencies, timeliness of information, and data accuracy. You will assist in the timely transition of loans from Underwriting to Portfolio Management, adhering to strict quality control parameters to ensure that systems, trackers, and loan files accurately reflect approved terms and conditions, legal documentation, and file completeness. Furthermore, you will maintain and update Borrower's loan data in internal systems and trackers and participate in the development and ongoing updates to process and procedure documents. This position is part of the Portfolio Risk Management team within the Banking Group of Global Wealth Management Americas (GWM). The Banking Americas group offers products and services to UBS Financial advisors and clients to help them meet their financial needs and goals, including loans to HNW and UHNW clients of the firm.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A university undergraduate degree, preferably with a Business emphasis.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in financial services, preferably in lending or credit risk functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality results against fast-paced project deliverable deadlines.
  • Strong project management and reporting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
