The Adult Program Director will administer and develop a wide variety of educational, social, and cultural programs for adults of all ages at the JCC. This role is pivotal in fostering community engagement and enhancing membership through innovative programming. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing adult programs, workshops, events, and classes that not only encourage membership growth but also ensure sustainability and add significant value to the JCC. A key aspect of this position involves creating and maintaining active committees with lay leaders and JCC members, facilitating communication and collaboration with these groups to respond effectively to community interests and needs in developing quality programs. Setting program goals that are specific, realistic, measurable, and attainable is essential for the success of the Adult Program Director. The individual must demonstrate a strong knowledge of Jewish culture, values, and traditions, integrating these concepts into the overall adult programming. Budget management is also a critical responsibility, as the Director will create and adhere to program budgets while working closely with the Marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing plans for all adult programs. Evaluating all programs through participant feedback forms and surveys is another important duty. The Director will share findings with committees and staff, making necessary programmatic changes based on this feedback. Representing the JCC as a positive role model to others, both within and outside the organization, is crucial, as is striving to achieve the highest quality of customer service for all individuals and groups. The Adult Program Director will also collaborate with the Development team to implement sponsorship programming and may participate in other JCC community events and programs outside of their primary role as needed. This position requires an innovative, creative, and resourceful individual who exhibits excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The workload will include evenings and weekends, and attention to detail is key to success in this role. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential, and responsibilities may evolve as the needs of the JCC and community change, with prior consultation with the employee. Flexibility in program scheduling and supervision is also required, with periodic evening and weekend program engagement expected throughout the programming season.
