The Creative Arts Director at Crosswinds Church is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the weekend experience through various creative mediums, including music, lights, video, and drama. This position will lead the creative arts department, overseeing a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who contribute to services that highlight the hope found in Jesus. The role may also be filled by a qualified candidate who prefers a pastoral title, emphasizing the spiritual leadership aspect of the position. In this role, the Creative Arts Director will act as the gatekeeper for Sunday services, managing all elements of the service, including people, transitions, and overall flow. They will play a crucial role in storytelling, highlighting real-life stories from the community and creating original narratives that are communicated through video and other creative formats. Weekly brainstorming, decision-making, production, and evaluation meetings will be a regular part of the job, as the director supervises a team of leaders and ensures that the vision and strategy are communicated clearly and consistently. The ideal candidate will be a devoted follower of Jesus, passionate about sharing the gospel in innovative ways. They should have demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to inspire and execute creative ideas effectively. A strong drive for creativity and storytelling is essential, as is a passion for recruiting, developing, and training team members. The candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of the production elements involved in service delivery and be capable of making informed decisions based on this knowledge.
