About the position

The Creative Arts Program Director at Touching Miami with Love (TML) is responsible for developing and leading creative arts programs for youth aged 5-18. This role emphasizes the importance of creativity and the arts as vital avenues for self-expression and community engagement. The director will inspire youth through various artistic mediums, fostering personal and spiritual growth while managing program operations and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and lead comprehensive creative arts programs, including art, music, dance, drama, and multimedia.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where youth feel encouraged to explore their creativity.
• Collaborate with other TML program directors to integrate arts-based activities with other programming.
• Supervise and support staff, volunteers, and interns involved in the creative arts program.
• Organize and manage community art showcases, performances, and exhibitions to display the students' work.
• Track and report on program outcomes, including student participation and development.
• Work with community artists, partners, and organizations to bring guest artists and opportunities to TML.
• Manage the program budget, including sourcing and maintaining art supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Engage with youth and their families, promoting participation and supporting TML's mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in youth programming, arts education, or a related area.
• Proven leadership and program management skills.
• Strong understanding of artistic techniques and tools across multiple mediums.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and build relationships with youth, families, and the community.
• Passion for empowering youth through the arts, with a strong commitment to TML's values and mission.
