About the position

The Associate Creative Director at Hatcher Marketing is responsible for overseeing and executing creative direction across multiple projects and campaigns. This role blends creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership, requiring the ability to manage various creative projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality outputs that align with client needs and brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct filming sessions (in person or virtually) with clients
  • Provide creative leadership for the team: leading in creative conception, direction and review
  • Use limited information from clients, personal research, and story structures to create concepts, outlines, storyboards, scripts and non-video assets
  • Provide story structure guidance & editing guidance as necessary
  • Review non-video content and assets to provide creative direction and ensure a high degree of quality in final product
  • Conduct efficient interviews with partners/clients to effectively extract story details
  • Write Titles/Descriptions for various types of social posts and ads
  • Stay up to date on current social media video trends (specifically scripting, storytelling, titles, descriptions, hashtags, etc.) and current copywriting trends
  • Keep up to date with the proper formatting/text/visual requirements for the brands we support (Microsoft, Lenovo, etc.)
  • Support content posting and monitoring on social media across all channels

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a creative role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership position, preferably in an agency or in-house creative team
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of creative work across different mediums and industries
  • Bachelor's degree with a creative specialty in Video Production, Creative Writing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of branding, visual design principles, and user-centered design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts clearly to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
  • Excellent writing skills (knowledge of story structures, proper length for different types of outputs, creative finesse)
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining creative integrity
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to work with a team and on your own
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to understand Fortune 500 tech customers, and complicated, abstract sales models and solutions
