About the position

The Creative/Communication Director at CenterPoint Church is responsible for creating and overseeing all communication efforts directed towards the congregation, community, and media outlets. This role emphasizes the importance of clear, relevant, and God-honoring communication to influence and empower individuals in their faith journey. The director will capture and convey the church's voice effectively across various platforms, ensuring all content is engaging and well-crafted.

Responsibilities

• Create or edit all publicly visible copy including the CenterPoint app, weekly email, web page, and social media.
• Proofread and authorize all written material sent out in printed and electronic form.
• Oversee all graphic development to ensure editorial accuracy and aesthetic excellence.
• Manage all copy and visual content for all active social media accounts.
• Coordinate with the executive team to schedule announcement topics, on-screen personalities, recording, and post-production for Central News.
• Create descriptions for all church events for the weekly email, CenterPoint app, and webpage.
• Oversee the creation of postcards, signage, newsletters, and the annual report.
• Develop external promotional materials for message series.
• Update and defend the Communication Guide and Style Guide.
• Create a local media presence and send out press releases when applicable.
• Oversee all online advertising and SEO efforts, including Google AdWords and boosts.
• Supervise creative staff including graphic designers and video producers, as well as any volunteers under them.

Requirements

• A strong and growing faith in Christ.
• Bachelor's degree in a related area.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing or communications experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
