About the position

The Creative Content Specialist/Videographer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is responsible for creating and managing video content for the Athletic Department, focusing on Olympic sports teams. This role involves brainstorming, recording, and editing videos to enhance the department's social media presence and engagement. The specialist will work closely with various teams to produce high-quality content that aligns with the university's branding and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, record, and edit video content for assigned Olympic sports teams.
• Create and coordinate creative video content for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
• Cover events and produce features to maximize engagement and advance the brand.
• Collaborate with the communications, marketing, and development teams to support the Department of Athletics.
• Report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Creative Services and Athletic Communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Substantial experience in social media communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple social media accounts on various platforms.
• Ability to create and publish original, high-quality content.
• Outstanding organizational skills with a strong design sense and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-3 years of experience in college athletics content creation at the Division I level.
• Experience in video content acquisition and editing, still and motion graphics creation, and social media distribution expertise.
• Knowledge of NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules related to this position.
