About the position

The Creative Director will play a critical role in driving the creative vision and strategy for product development, particularly for imported clothing. This position will oversee the entire creative process, from concept to final product, ensuring that all designs align with brand objectives and meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative team in developing innovative apparel and art designs that align with client needs and market trends.
  • Oversee the development of new clothing products, particularly imports.
  • Manage and review all aspects of the design process, including concept creation, material selection, and prototype development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, fashion developments, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide creative solutions, and ensure their vision is brought to life through design.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of designers, ensuring continuous improvement in skills and creativity.
  • Manage the creative budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of projects from concept to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in creative roles within the apparel industry, with a strong focus on product development for imported clothing.
  • Proven track record of leading and inspiring creative teams to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Deep understanding of apparel production processes, materials, and sourcing, particularly in international markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts to clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
