About the position

The Creative Director, Art & Design at Rippling will be responsible for owning the conceptual storytelling of the brand across various channels. This role involves leading the creative direction for integrated marketing campaigns, managing a team of brand designers, and collaborating with external agencies to enhance the Rippling brand. The position is pivotal in driving top-of-funnel awareness campaigns and ensuring the brand's narrative is effectively communicated through diverse marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive and drive top-of-funnel awareness campaigns in partnership with Corporate Marketing.
  • Create full-funnel, integrated marketing campaigns for product launches.
  • Capture and amplify customer stories.
  • Guide external agencies and govern their work, including performance advertising.
  • Manage a team of multi-disciplinary brand designers, providing mentorship and creative direction.
  • Build a roster of photographers, videographers, editors, and production agencies to support creative vision.
  • Assess creative approaches, audit competitors, and develop concepts for content plays and co-branding initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience developing campaign concepts that showcase extensibility across channels.
  • Experience directing external vendors, including agencies and freelancers.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in brand-building for SaaS.
  • Outstanding communication skills in presenting work and providing creative direction.
  • Ability to embrace feedback and pivot accordingly while balancing speed and quality.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a passion for storytelling and craft.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS, Figma, Asana, Google Workspace, and Slack.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with product design teams.
  • Experience working with AI tools.
  • Motion, 3D, and/or animation experience (After Effects, Cinema 4D).
  • Experience in B2B communications and familiarity with those audiences.
