About the position

The position is for a creative leader at TMA, responsible for directing and managing a team of art directors and copywriters. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional creative work while fostering team development and client relationships. This role requires a passion for storytelling and the ability to inspire and mentor others in a fast-paced agency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and managing art directors and copywriters within the group, overseeing their time, workload, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Leading broadcast and content production projects from concept to execution.
  • Understanding input from senior leadership and clients, effectively directing the team toward better creative executions.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cultural, design, and business trends.
  • Building effective relationships with teammates and clients.
  • Maintaining a flexible work schedule, as weekend and extended workdays are sometimes necessary.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the marketplace our clients operate in, strategy, and the competitive landscape.
  • Delivering inspired creative while being a great team player both internally and externally, remaining positive, flexible, and supportive throughout all stages of projects.
  • Inspiring and mentoring staff members, cultivating their career development.
  • Loving to learn and teach, sharing knowledge with the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field (advertising, graphic design, visual arts, etc.).
  • 8+ years of agency experience as a graphic designer or art director.
  • 5+ years of broadcast content production on large scale projects.
  • Experience in management responsibilities and leading a team.
  • Ability to build and maintain solid relationships with clients and account teams.
  • Self-motivation and ability to motivate others to creatively and strategically solve multiple problems at once, under quick deadlines.
  • Ability to brainstorm in large groups and develop big promotional ideas from beginning to end.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign CS5 or above.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Keynote is a plus.
  • Solid portfolio, available online.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller with the ability to deliver strategy-driven creative that inspires.
  • Strong and persuasive presentation skills, able to articulate a vision in a way that influences others to buy-in.
  • Fun and outgoing leader, excited to dig in at all phases of an experiential program and make a strong impact.
  • Business-minded with a well-founded understanding of marketing tactics and their role within the experiential ecosystem.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in experiential marketing or related fields.
  • Familiarity with digital content production and social media strategies.
