About the position

The Creative Director, Brand & Creative at TikTok will lead the creative development for brand and product campaigns globally, focusing on the Americas. This role requires a strong communicator with a copywriting background who can guide agencies from ideation to production, ensuring high-quality and on-brand deliverables. The ideal candidate will inspire teams, maintain brand consistency, and stay updated on market trends to inform creative decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional internal teams and external creative agencies, providing guidance to ensure high-quality and on-brand deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop compelling creative briefs and execute creative strategies that enhance TikTok's brand trust.
  • Oversee and refine the copywriting process, ensuring all messaging is clear, engaging, and true to TikTok's voice.
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging across various campaigns and platforms, tailoring content to resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with creative agencies, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
  • Self-manage multiple projects simultaneously, producing efficiently and on schedule.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors to inform creative decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience in a creative brand or creative strategy role.
  • Experience within a creative agency, brand creative group, or entertainment studio/network creative role.
  • A portfolio that showcases previous creative and strategic work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating content on or for TikTok.
  • Proven track record in leading and delivering successful brand campaigns, preferably within the digital and social media landscape.
  • Ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies clearly to senior executives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with creative agencies.
