The Creative Director (CD) at Digitas Health plays a pivotal role in leading the creative output for two or three accounts, depending on their size. This leadership position is not only about overseeing the creative process but also about inspiring and guiding teams to produce innovative concepts and final deliverables. The CD will collaborate closely with account management to ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of the creative work, the value of the services provided, and the responsiveness to their needs. This role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office each week, and the specifics will be discussed during the interview process, including any necessary accommodations. In terms of responsibilities, the CD will engage in creative and hands-on work, which constitutes 40% of the role. This includes developing and reviewing creative briefs that offer strategic insights and creative inspiration, collaborating with the CD of Art to produce standout concepts and campaigns, and owning projects from inception to completion. The CD will also estimate copy hours, participate in client meetings, lead concept presentations, attend market research, and share responsibilities with planning to shape strategic branding. Management responsibilities account for 30% of the role, where the CD will assign creative teams based on their abilities and workloads, manage the productivity of the copy team to ensure everyone is busy and billable, and work with various departments to meet deadlines and budgets. Additionally, the CD will provide feedback for annual performance reviews and ongoing feedback throughout the year, as well as identify and interview prospective creative candidates. The remaining 30% of the role focuses on leadership. The CD will become the creative voice for their accounts, develop strong relationships with clients, and collaborate with account management to grow business with existing clients. They will also work with creative management to address performance and workflow issues, lead creative teams in developing concepts and executing projects, and ensure that all copywriters are trained and mentored to meet agency standards and their career goals. The CD must demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' products and marketing challenges, ensuring responsiveness to their strategic and creative needs, and represent the agency at client meetings and social events.
