About the position

The Creative Director, Digital at Gap will lead the brand's creative storytelling and expression across all digital channels. This role involves developing seasonal brand stories and innovative digital designs that resonate with customers and differentiate Gap from its competitors. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure the creative vision aligns with business objectives and enhances the brand's identity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of Creative to push the creative vision of brand campaigns on digital channels.
  • Oversee and direct a team of senior and mid-level designers on the brand team.
  • Drive and iterate on the brand visual identity, including graphic direction and photography/video style for multi-channel campaigns.
  • Act as a conceptual thought-leader, collaborating with editorial and marketing teams.
  • Conceptualize larger 360 brand campaigns with cross-functional and agency partners.
  • Lead the creative direction for evergreen brand systems, including typography and graphics.
  • Oversee the Brand/Value systems teams that manage evergreen programs.
  • Lead photo shoots for brand projects in collaboration with the Head of Creative.
  • Ensure creative output is synergistic between product and creative visuals teams.
  • Work closely with marketing for creative excellence and execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand creative and digital direction, with both agency and in-house experience preferred.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing distinctive work that elevates a brand's creative and digital experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of channel best practices, balancing creative work with business goals.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Editorial, and Marketing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills to articulate rationale and evoke excitement in recommendations.
  • Experience leading successful photo and video production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, G-Suite, Keynote, Figma, and relevant tools; Miro experience is a plus.
