About the position

The Creative Director, Global Brand Management will lead the rollout of Pearson's new brand identity, ensuring consistency and alignment across various business divisions. This role involves overseeing creative operations, managing a team of designers, and collaborating with agency partners to develop and implement a comprehensive brand identity system. The position requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex organizational dynamics and foster excitement about the brand internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the new core brand identity system in partnership with the Brand Manager and agency team.
  • Lead the internal team to build out assets such as pictograms, iconography, and photography library.
  • Ensure all aspects of the new brand identity system are properly vetted and protected through technical reviews.
  • Build and execute a training program to socialize the new identity system across the organization.
  • Monitor the progress of the new identity rollout and report to senior leadership.
  • Engage proactively with divisions on key strategic initiatives to advise on branding.
  • Oversee a team of designers and copywriters, managing both permanent and freelance resources.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in brand/marketing creative design and leadership.
  • Experience in building, executing, and managing a new brand identity system.
  • Proven ability to develop brand design systems and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and working in a global environment.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
