About the position

The Creative Director, Global Brand Management at Pearson will lead the rollout of a refreshed brand identity, overseeing the development and implementation of the new brand system. This role involves collaboration with agency partners, managing creative operations, and ensuring the brand resonates with both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a strategic leader who can navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive brand equity across various business divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the new core brand identity system in partnership with the Brand Manager and agency team.
  • Lead the internal team to build out brand assets such as pictograms and iconography.
  • Oversee the build-out of a photography library and manage custom shoots.
  • Identify font options and recommend a lead brand font for business needs.
  • Complete brand guidelines for the new identity system in partnership with the Brand Manager and Agency.
  • Ensure all aspects of the new system are properly vetted and protected through technical reviews.
  • Build and execute a training program for marketing employees and external agency teams on the new identity system.
  • Monitor the progress of the new identity rollout and report to senior leadership.
  • Engage proactively with divisions on key strategic initiatives to advise on branding.
  • Oversee a team of designers and copywriters, including hiring and onboarding new team members.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in brand/marketing creative design and leadership.
  • Experience in building, executing, and managing a new brand identity system.
  • Proven ability to develop brand design systems and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and working in a global environment.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
