About the position

The Creative Director of Copy for Retail Marketing at GNC is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the creative vision of marketing projects. This position requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure impactful messaging that aligns with the brand's identity. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to bring high-level brand visions and seasonal campaigns to life, while nurturing emerging creative talent within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the creative vision of marketing projects and ensure impactful messaging aligns with brand identity.
  • Manage the creative messaging strategy and direction of high-level campaign work within the internal marketing team.
  • Identify strategic and conceptual direction across various projects and present ideas to cross-functional teams and C-suite.
  • Build big campaign platform ideas with tight teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously while managing team dynamics and stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in creative roles within ad agency or retail teams, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity managing a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering creative marketing solutions that drive strategy to support merchandising, marketing, and branding goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively under pressure and meet timelines in a fast-paced setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) at the design and production level.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
