About the position

The Creative Director at amfAR will lead the creative ideation and direction for various platforms, ensuring impactful storytelling and innovative solutions in marketing and communications. This role is pivotal in designing and producing all web, digital, social, video, publication, and printed materials for the organization, contributing to its mission of ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative ideation, concepting, and art/copy direction.
• Design and produce all amfAR web/digital, social, video, publication, and printed materials.
• Collaborate with leadership partners and motivate teams to inspire original thinking.
• Develop and deliver creative concepts programmed for various platforms and audiences.
• Contribute innovative ideas and tactics to amfAR's marketing and communications strategies.
• Deliver fresh thinking and impactful storytelling.
• Exhibit strong content knowledge across all forms of art execution, including photography, GFX, motion, music, and sound.
• Build a culture of creativity, comradery, and accountability among creatives.
• Mentor and guide junior talent to help them develop their skills.
• Stay abreast of creative trends and recommend new technologies/social media approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Fine Arts, Advertising, or other creative concentrations.
• Exemplary creative portfolio that highlights experience.
• 7+ years of creative in-house or agency experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
