About the position

Citi's US in-house creative agency is seeking a Creative Director to lead the vision and strategy for lower funnel marketing. This role involves overseeing the development of high-volume email, direct mail, and other targeted marketing assets, ensuring alignment with business goals and ADA compliance. The Creative Director will manage a team of design and copy leads, advocate for clients, and promote a consistent brand experience across all marketing channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Design Leads, Copy Leads, designers, and copywriters to ensure consistency through lower funnel marketing channels (email, direct mail, web banners, etc.)
  • Present to senior leadership, clearly explaining strategy and impact of the team's involvement
  • Provide innovative, out-of-the-box input when reviewing complex creatives
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions in a team setting to continually improve user experience and performance results on deliverables
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, perform internal reviews, and join client presentation calls to lead the team in delivering high-quality assets

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience, including a creative background (copy, design, etc.)
  • Agency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proven history of design fundamentals (including typography, color theory, brand adherence, and critical thinking with regards to creative application)
  • Experience with ADA compliance as it pertains to marketing collateral
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively discuss projects
  • Successful experience partnering with internal clients and senior leaders
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple key priorities
  • Ability to adhere to a process calendar
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with local and remote team members
  • A BA or higher in marketing or a related field.
