About the position

In this role, you will be a key member of a team responsible for leading the brand voice and creative storytelling across all social channels for Gap. Your focus will be on developing seasonal brand stories and innovative content that inspires customers and aligns with the brand vision. You will create unique and attention-grabbing ideas that differentiate Gap from its competitors.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of Creative to push the creative vision of all brand campaigns and deliverables to completion.
  • Oversee and direct a team of senior and mid-level designers on the brand team.
  • Drive and iterate on the brand visual identity including graphic direction and photography/video style for multi-channel campaigns.
  • Think big and act as a conceptual thought-leader in collaboration with editorial and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and agency partners to concept larger 360 brand and social campaigns.
  • Provide creative direction for evergreen brand systems and leadership on brand typography, color, and graphics use.
  • Lead photo shoots for brand projects in partnership with the Head of Creative.
  • Ensure creative output is synergistic between product and creative visuals teams, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand creative and social direction, with both agency and in-house experience preferred.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing distinctive work that elevates a brand's creative and social experience.
  • Ability to operate at an executive level, mentoring and managing team members effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of channel best practices, balancing creative work with business goals.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Editorial, and Marketing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills to articulate rationale and evoke excitement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading successful photo and video production.
  • Expertise in Adobe Suite, G-Suite, Keynote, Figma, and other relevant tools.
  • Miro experience is a plus.
