About the position

SherlockTalent is seeking a full-time Creative Director who will play a pivotal role in guiding all projects and ensuring the overall quality of work produced by the creative department. This dynamic position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, requiring the individual to be a reliable leader, mentor, and manager for the creative team. The Creative Director will be responsible for creating big ideas and will need to be a savvy business-minded pitch veteran, while also maintaining the ability to roll up their sleeves and engage in hands-on work when necessary. The role involves managing two full-time employees: an Associate Creative Director and a Senior Art Director. The Creative Director will manage the creative process from concept to completion, translating marketing objectives into clear creative strategies. This includes working closely with multidisciplinary project teams, particularly in collaboration with the IT department. The individual will lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral, ensuring that visual communication and brand standards are consistently met. Additionally, the Creative Director will oversee client pitches and proposals, manage profitability, deliverables, timelines, and budgets, and meet with clients or upper management to explain campaign strategies and solutions. A critical aspect of the role is to review work, troubleshoot issues, and provide constructive feedback to the creative teams. The Creative Director will remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff, as well as managing and cultivating the career development of team members, including designers, art directors, copywriters, photographers, and web developers. This position is office-based and non-remote, with a preference for candidates located in South Florida, specifically Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience leading creative ideation, concept creation, design, and production.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills.
  • Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions, such as graphic designer, art director, and copywriter.
  • Expert knowledge of the business side of design and creative.
  • Very strong soft skills that enable them to inspire creativity and work well with different personality types — all while juggling various projects.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Animate, Google Studio, and other tools relevant to the field, including HTML and CSS.
