VML Seattle is seeking a Creative Director to oversee the creative team and take ownership of all creative output across our largest technology client. As Creative Director, you have a proven track record of overseeing and creating meaningful digital content and brand website/eCommerce experiences that deeply engage consumers. The Creative Director needs to have experience as a trusted partner to senior, C-level clients, and an equally trusted partner to internal discipline leads. The Creative Director maintains a high bar of creative excellence and collaborative engagement internally and externally, going to great lengths to partner with the other discipline leads to ensure the highest quality deliverables and outcomes for our clients. In this role, you will set the course and the vision for the team and inspire more meaningful work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor teams across the office.
  • Build and lead a team of creative innovators.
  • Oversee art directors, designers, user experience designers, and writers.
  • Drive, develop, and deliver presentations, and lead meetings when appropriate.
  • Anticipate team and client needs, project risks, and participate in driving resolution.
  • Inspire clients and co-workers through good work, good spirit, and excellent communication.
  • Oversee the translation of the client's vision into a roadmap that guides our agency.
  • Generate work that is creatively brilliant, measurable, and culturally impactful.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of creative experience; minimum of 3 years of senior creative management experience preferred.
  • Prior copywriting experience is a plus.
  • Portfolio featuring a wide range of award-worthy creative work.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate in a team-oriented workplace.
  • Desire to foster career growth for individuals at all levels on the creative teams.
  • Award-winning conceptual skills that will help navigate through the digital space.
  • Strong working knowledge of visual design, interaction design, user-centered experience design, and the creative process.
  • Outstanding listening, interviewing, meeting facilitation, storytelling, and writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in JIRA, XD and Figma is a plus.
