About the position

The Creative Director at Connecticut Foodshare is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of digital and direct mail campaigns aimed at enhancing brand visibility, engagement, and fundraising efforts. This role is crucial in supporting the organization's mission to alleviate food insecurity across the state by increasing philanthropic support and community awareness. The Creative Director will collaborate with various departments and external vendors to ensure effective marketing strategies that align with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive direct mail and digital marketing strategies to support fundraising, awareness, and advocacy efforts.
  • Lead the creation of compelling, data-driven campaigns that resonate with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with the organization's mission, vision, goals, and fundraising objectives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, new platforms, and tools to ensure innovative marketing approaches.
  • Oversee the planning, production, and execution of marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics and use insights to optimize future initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including printers, designers, and agencies.
  • Work closely with multiple departments to align marketing efforts with fundraising goals and program initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging creativity and innovation across the team.
  • Oversee the digital and direct mail budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maximizing campaign impact.
  • Report regularly on marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field with 3 years of related experience, or 7 years of related experience in a comparable environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector, particularly with fundraising-focused campaigns, is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and email marketing platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven track record of success in managing direct mail and digital marketing campaigns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
