About the position

The Creative Director is responsible for leading a team of skilled creatives and managing the creative development process across various projects. This role involves collaboration with internal ministries, departments, and external partners to produce high-quality marketing materials. The Creative Director will oversee the creative team, ensuring that all projects align with marketing goals and are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative team and report directly to the Executive Director of Digital Marketing.
  • Review the work of the creative teams for all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.
  • Manage content strategy for both small and large projects, integrating brand design, copy, art, and digital technology.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales departments to develop marketing plans and analyze results.
  • Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate objectives into clear creative strategies.
  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer needs, and competitor landscape.
  • Meet budget requirements by forecasting and managing expenses.
  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers.
  • Ensure all projects are completed from concept and design to production.
  • Prioritize work and resources based on short- and long-term needs, developing schedules collaboratively.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions to develop innovative initiatives.
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring alignment with marketing goals.
  • Produce innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling materials and experiences.
  • Oversee the presentation of final concepts and obtain approvals for deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing or business.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with seven or more years as a creative director in an agency or corporate setting.
  • 5+ years of related experience as a Creative Director or similar senior-level position.
  • Experience in project management with a focus on creative direction.
  • Experience as a copywriter, graphic designer, or production artist.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns from vision to production.
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print.
  • Proven ability to develop successful concepts.
  • Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives.
  • Strong creative vision with a focus on business objectives.
