About the position

Turning Point Brands, Inc. is seeking a Creative Director to lead our creative team in developing and executing innovative and impactful marketing campaigns and branding initiatives across all company brands. This role requires a visionary leader with a keen eye for design, a deep understanding of consumer behavior, and the ability to translate strategic objectives into compelling visual content that aligns with our brand strategies. The Creative Director will collaborate with various departments, especially Brand Managers, to ensure our brands remain at the forefront of the market. The Creative Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall creative strategy aligned with the company's business objectives. This includes leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of designers and other creative professionals, such as copywriters. Staying updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies is crucial to ensure the brand remains innovative and relevant. In terms of brand development, the Creative Director will oversee the creation and evolution of brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. They will drive the development of integrated marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, that effectively communicate the brand's message and resonate with target audiences. Collaboration with product development, marketing, and sales teams will be essential to align creative efforts with product launches and promotional activities. Project management is another key aspect of this role, as the Creative Director will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. They will allocate resources effectively, balancing workloads and priorities to meet deadlines and budget constraints, and coordinate with external agencies and vendors as needed to supplement in-house capabilities. The Creative Director will also oversee and support the production of digital, print, and multimedia content, including advertisements, social media graphics, packaging, and website design. Ensuring all creative output is on-brand, innovative, and meets the highest quality standards is paramount. Regular reviews and critiques of creative work will be conducted to maintain a high level of excellence. Finally, the Creative Director will monitor and analyze the performance of creative campaigns and initiatives, partnering with Brand Managers and the Digital Team to analyze data and feedback to optimize and refine creative strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness. Presenting creative concepts and campaign results to senior management and stakeholders will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Fine Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within the CPG industry.
  • Proven track record of successful brand development and creative campaign execution.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute creatively under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with digital marketing, including social media, email campaigns, and website design.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
