About the position

Jasco Products Company is seeking a Creative Director who will play a pivotal role in transforming the company's approach from a Retail First mentality to a Digital First perspective. This position is crucial for driving online recognition of Jasco's brands and enhancing Etail sales to consumers, while also ensuring successful products are effectively migrated to traditional brick-and-mortar retail outlets. The Creative Director will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company's creative efforts, focusing on concepting, storytelling, and user experience across all Jasco-owned brands. In this role, the Creative Director will collaborate closely with product development and marketing teams to communicate strategic briefs and will be involved in every aspect of the creative process, from ideation to final execution. This includes working with both internal and external creative staff to develop brand concepts, websites, digital ad campaigns, and written communications, including email campaigns. The Creative Director will also be tasked with developing the creative team's processes, planning, and establishing best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all creative endeavors. Key responsibilities include overseeing the creation of compelling storytelling and user experiences for all creative executions, collaborating with graphic designers, copywriters, and web development professionals, and developing best practices for project management. The Creative Director will work alongside the Chief Marketing Officer to understand various brand positions and will create marketing campaigns that effectively bring these brands to life. Additionally, the role involves coordinating internal brainstorming sessions, leading creative testing strategies, and maintaining brand standards across all assets. The Creative Director will also serve as a mentor to team members, fostering their growth and ensuring long-term succession planning within the creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation and concepting of storytelling/messaging and user experience for all creative executions.
  • Work with teams of graphic designers, copywriters, video, and web development professionals.
  • Collaborate with all creative staff, internal and freelance assets, to create a concept and implementation plan for project completion.
  • Develop best practices for processes, plan, and monitor workloads/budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to understand multiple brand positions and develop brand and marketing creative campaigns and assets.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management across multiple channels to interpret account strategic briefs into creative concepts and assets.
  • Produce compelling, customer-centric new creative ideas that work for the brands.
  • Coordinate and lead internal creative brainstorming sessions to ideate new concepts.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Development to build and execute creative testing strategies.
  • Attend Sales Meetings to pitch creative concepts to customers.
  • Review and critique all designs ensuring they are on-brand and deliver marketing objectives.
  • Maintain an understanding of design, copy, digital, web UX/UI best practices/guidelines.
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data, and stay current on the latest marketing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts are digital/mobile-first.
  • Define needed freelance resources for unique skills.
  • Track and present project information, including deadlines and budgets to Executives.
  • Shape and maintain brand standards and creative procedures to ensure all brand assets meet the standard.
  • Guide the selection process for any outside agencies (design, animation, video, etc.).
  • Uphold Jasco's Open-Door policy by meeting with team members, listening to concerns, and providing resolutions.
  • Perform as a mentor, conduct training, and create development plans for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Ten years of experience leading a team in digital design, storytelling, and brand building in a direct marketing function or agency experience in B2B or B2C.
  • Extensive knowledge of art and digital design.
  • Strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse teams.
  • Strategic problem-solving abilities and expertise in interpreting company needs and requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; strong collaborator.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to sell-in new ideas and concepts.
  • Extensive experience using Mac and software programs such as Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledgeable of the entire web development process, including design (UX/UI) and development; as well as UX for campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of leading AI technologies is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining an objective outlook.
