About the position

Nutanix is seeking a Creative Director who will be responsible for the visual brand and voice of the company. This role is pivotal in shaping the brand's identity and ensuring that it resonates across various platforms and audiences. The Creative Director will lead a team of art directors, designers, and video producers, collaborating closely with other marketing professionals to create compelling visual narratives that align with Nutanix's business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand management and visual identity, with a passion for storytelling and innovation. This position requires a leader who can inspire creativity within their team while maintaining a focus on strategic goals and measurable outcomes. The Creative Director will drive a globally consistent visual brand and content creation strategy, ensuring alignment across all operating regions. This includes partnering with digital marketing and campaign teams to develop online strategies that attract and retain customers. The role also involves managing external agencies and creative partnerships to achieve efficient and effective global outcomes. The Creative Director will be responsible for executing creative concepts across various mediums, including print, video, and social media, while also managing a budget and tracking expenses. In addition to creative responsibilities, the Creative Director will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and innovative culture within the marketing team and across the organization. This includes motivating employees around a shared visual brand vision and remaining up to date on new creative technologies and trends. The position reports to the Head of Corporate Marketing and is integral to the Global Integrated Marketing & Communications team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a globally consistent flexible fit-for-purpose visual brand and content creation strategy.
  • Align the Nutanix Visual Brand and Content Strategy across operating regions.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing and Marketing Campaign teams to deliver an online marketing strategy that attracts, converts, and retains customers.
  • Develop strong relationships within creative and across other cross-functional departments as a trusted creative partner.
  • Execute the production of creative/editorial concepts for all visual communication mediums including print, video, events, online marketing, website, social media, and blog.
  • Develop and implement consistent marketing processes and systems globally to ensure global consistency.
  • Manage external agencies and relationships with marketing services to achieve global outcomes efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage a team of creatives and develop and grow them to their potential.
  • Manage a budget and track expenses systematically.
  • Maintain and grow the brand portal.
  • Motivate employees globally around a shared visual brand vision.
  • Shape a collaborative, innovative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture with peers and key stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on new creative and digital technologies and trends.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, visual identity, creative services / advertising.
  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual brand management.
  • Experience in B2B technology or SaaS, particularly with complex, multi-product IT portfolios.
  • Successful experience in visual brand management and content creation in a direct people management role.
  • Outstanding visual background in typography, composition, motion, branding, and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing executive management.
  • Data-driven approach to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence opinions and decision-making at the senior executive level.
  • Highly creative with the ability to ground ideas into workable, practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of Figma, Keynote, and Adobe CC.
