About the position

The Creative Director at AMC Networks is responsible for shaping and defining the brand's identity and creative direction. This role involves overseeing all aspects of brand expression, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals while fostering a collaborative environment among a team of designers, copywriters, and other creatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of all brand-related promotional creative for campaigns, digital marketing, social media, packaging, and corporate communications.
  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all brand touchpoints, maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Provide creative guidance and feedback to the team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Direct talent shoots as part of the creative process.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of creative projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, such as agencies and freelancers, to deliver exceptional creative work.
  • Act as the guardian of the brand, ensuring all creative work adheres to established guidelines and reinforces the brand's identity and values.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform and refine brand creative.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve brand performance, leveraging insights and feedback to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in creative roles, with at least 2 years as a creative director
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies and creative campaigns
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across various media and platforms
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions
  • Proficiency in creative software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong creative management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
