About the position

Nutanix is seeking a Creative Director who will be responsible for shaping the visual brand and voice of the company. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Nutanix's brand identity is consistently represented across all platforms and mediums. The Creative Director will lead a team of art directors, designers, and video producers, collaborating closely with other marketing professionals to create compelling narratives and innovative content that resonates with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand management and visual identity, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling. In this position, the Creative Director will drive the development of a globally consistent visual brand strategy, ensuring alignment across various operating regions. They will partner with digital marketing and campaign teams to create an online marketing strategy that effectively attracts, converts, and retains customers. The role requires a trusted creative partner who can build strong relationships within the creative team and across other departments, ensuring that all visual communications are executed to the highest standards. The Creative Director will also be responsible for managing external agencies, overseeing the production of creative concepts for various mediums including print, video, and social media. They will maintain a budget, track expenses, and manage the brand portal, while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture within the team. Staying updated on new creative technologies and trends is essential to ensure that Nutanix remains at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a globally consistent flexible fit-for-purpose visual brand and content creation strategy.
  • Align the Nutanix Visual Brand and Content Strategy across operating regions.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing and Marketing Campaign teams to deliver an online marketing strategy.
  • Develop strong relationships within creative and across other cross-functional departments.
  • Execute the production of creative/editorial concepts for all visual communication mediums.
  • Ensure global consistency in marketing processes and systems.
  • Manage external agencies and relationships with marketing services.
  • Manage a team of creatives and develop their potential.
  • Track budget and expenses effectively.
  • Maintain and grow the brand portal.
  • Motivate employees globally around a shared visual brand vision.
  • Shape a collaborative, innovative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Stay updated on new creative and digital technologies and trends.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand, visual identity, creative services, or advertising.
  • Strong creative portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual brand management.
  • Experience in B2B technology or SaaS environments, particularly with complex IT portfolios.
  • Successful experience in visual brand management and content creation in a direct people management role.
  • Outstanding visual background in typography, composition, motion, branding, and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing executive management.
  • Data-driven approach to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence decision-making at the senior executive level.
  • Highly creative with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of Figma, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
