About the position

The Creative Director at Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) is responsible for leading the organization's brand identity and communication strategies. This role involves overseeing a multidisciplinary creative team to develop innovative campaigns that align with JVCHC's mission of providing high-quality healthcare services. The Creative Director will ensure that all visual, written, and digital communications enhance engagement with patients and the community, while also reflecting the organization's commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand identity for JVCHC across all materials.
  • Lead the creative strategy for JVCHC campaigns that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure branding reflects the organization's values.
  • Support the execution of a comprehensive creative strategy, including patient education materials and digital campaigns.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, including print and digital designs.
  • Ensure communications are culturally relevant and sensitive to diverse populations.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a creative team to produce high-quality content.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for creative brainstorming and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Officer to implement creative strategies across channels.
  • Stay ahead of healthcare marketing trends to ensure relevance and innovation.
  • Develop strategies to communicate the value of JVCHC's services to the community.
  • Design campaigns that connect with the local community and address health concerns.
  • Produce patient-friendly educational content in collaboration with medical staff.
  • Work with leadership on public relations strategies and community engagement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple creative projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Partner with external agencies for larger campaigns or specialized projects.
  • Oversee the creative budget for efficient resource use.
  • Ensure creative outputs reflect the cultural values of JVCHC's patient base.
  • Implement strategies for accessibility to non-English speaking or low-literacy populations.
  • Develop campaigns targeting underrepresented communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, ideally in marketing or communications.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Proven experience managing a creative team and delivering innovative content.
  • Ability to manage and meet creative deadlines.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and digital design tools.
  • Experience with project management tools for creative projects.
  • Strong writing, graphic design, videography, and copywriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of branding, visual identity, and storytelling.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting creative ideas to leadership.
  • Knowledge of marketing trends and engagement strategies.
  • Ability to develop and manage creative budgets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in marketing, graphic design, communications, or related field.
