About the position

The Creative Director at NBCUniversal will lead the creative vision for NBC Sports Marketing, focusing on innovative and engaging content that resonates with audiences. This role involves managing video campaigns, collaborating with various teams, and mentoring talent to produce high-impact creative executions that drive viewership and interaction with sports properties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the timeline, budget, and creation of video campaigns including promos, shoots, and social/digital content.
  • Lead a team of writer/producer/editors and outside vendors as the head visionary of each project.
  • Provide guidance on the creative point of view of content to reach multiple audience targets with unique executions.
  • Bring innovative ideas to every project that grab attention and appeal to a broad audience.
  • Collaborate with strategy, social, and consumer engagement teams to ensure creative aligns with brand and strategic goals.
  • Work with NBC Sports Production to ideate and execute on-brand creative for marketing and production needs.
  • Mentor new talent and discover creative agencies to elevate the creative output.
  • Write and produce promos, sizzles, and social & digital content as needed.
  • Be a flexible team player and self-starter, capable of multitasking and sharing project responsibilities.
  • Interface with the creative community and all levels of the NBC organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in broadcast network, film studio, top advertising vendors, streaming, or entertainment cable network.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Production and Post-Production process.
  • Experience with post-production software including AVID and Adobe Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects).
  • Willingness to work long hours and on weekends with short notice.

  • Knowledge of and passion for pop culture, television, and new media trends.
  • Strong interest and love of sports, particularly the NBA.
