About the position

Landor is seeking a Creative Director to join our Chicago studio, a pivotal role that will serve as an inspirational beacon across our creative team. As a world-leading brand specialist, we connect business strategy to brand, creating brand-led experiences that resonate with both talent and customers. The Creative Director will oversee the creative output of the studio, ensuring the delivery of innovative, brand-led, cross-channel creative solutions. This position requires a visionary leader who can inspire and challenge teams on all accounts, pushing the boundaries of creativity to deliver exceptional solutions. In this role, you will establish and execute our creative vision within the Landor community, evaluating design options and providing constructive critiques to develop and push for 'big ideas' based on design strategy and creative briefs. You will promote and develop creative thinking, coaching and nurturing team members to elevate their skills and output. Additionally, you will evaluate and develop competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans, establishing a clear structure for the day-to-day management of the design team. Responsibilities

  • Oversee creative output and ensure delivery of innovative, brand-led, cross-channel creative solutions.
  • Inspire and challenge teams on all accounts to push boundaries of creativity and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Establish and execute our creative vision within the Landor community.
  • Evaluate design options, providing constructive critique to develop and push to find 'big ideas' based on design strategy and creative brief.
  • Promote and develop creative thinking, coaching and nurturing team members.
  • Evaluate and develop competitive and breakthrough design strategies and plans.
  • Establish a clear structure for the day-to-day management of the design team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a creative leader in a similar role, leading a large creative team and a sizeable output of work across all areas of brand and design.
  • Ability to demonstrate creative impact and skills to manage the complete delivery of projects.
  • Outstanding technical skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Excellent and current creative and design trend knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internally and externally.
  • Solutions-driven outlook, fueled by curiosity and an innovative mind.
