About the position

The Creative Director position is a contract role that offers the opportunity to work fully remote on a Federal program based in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver who integrates strategy and insights into effective messaging campaigns. This role requires a deep understanding of current design trends and cultural moments, which are critical for success in this position. The Creative Director will be responsible for building strong team relationships, protecting and evolving the program's brand, and collaborating closely with strategists, creative teams, and analytics experts. In this role, you will create campaigns and cohesive deliverables across various channels, leading and inspiring the creative team to produce dynamic and effective campaign outputs. You will weave in key audience insights and marketing strategies, understanding the role of deliverables within the broader marketing ecosystem. The Creative Director will lead projects from concept to delivery, presenting and validating concepts, copy, and design while ensuring that assignments are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Additionally, you will listen to and understand client situations, marketing goals, and information, translating these into creative and strategic concepts, messaging, and deliverables. Building team relationships will be essential to establish confidence, collaboration, and growth within the team. You will also provide agile solutions and strategic recommendations to meet the unique dynamics of teaming partnerships, especially under condensed timelines and production budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Create campaigns and cohesive deliverables for a variety of channels.
  • Lead and inspire the creative team to deliver dynamic, effective campaign deliverables.
  • Weave in key audience insights and marketing strategy and understand deliverables' role in a marketing ecosystem.
  • Lead projects from concept to delivery.
  • Present and validate concepts, copy and design.
  • Deliver assignments on time while consistently meeting quality standards.
  • Listen, understand, prioritize and translate client situation, marketing goals and information into creative and strategic concepts, messaging and deliverables.
  • Actively build team relationships to establish confidence, collaboration and growth.
  • Provide agile solutions and strategic recommendations to meet unique teaming partnership dynamic and condensed timeline and production budget.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Creative Directing experience
  • 7 years of Creative Concepts experience
  • 3 years of experience with Marketing strategies and Marketing creative development
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to meet the client's background requirements.
