About the position

The Creative Director (Art) at Razorfish is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the creative direction of campaigns and content across digital platforms, including .Com and social channels. This position involves inspiring and managing creative teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations, and collaborating with account management to enhance client satisfaction. The role also includes developing creative briefs, mentoring staff, and contributing to the agency's strategic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the campaign and content creative for .Com and Social channels.
  • Assign teams and inspire them to produce exceptional concepts and final work.
  • Work closely with account management to ensure client satisfaction with creative work.
  • Develop and review creative briefs that provide strategic insights and inspiration.
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients' marketing challenges and propose creative solutions.
  • Train new employees on responsibilities and agency procedures.
  • Plan and pursue strategic growth of agency billings and participate in new business pitches.
  • Evaluate creative concepts, copy, and art, providing direction prior to account management review.
  • Set high creative standards for work that is recognized as on strategy and unique.
  • Lead creative efforts on new business assignments as needed.
  • Ensure creative presentations meet the highest professional standards.
  • Manage workload for assigned business to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Communicate creative concepts and strategies effectively to clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in brainstorming and developing campaigns for multiple projects.
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Facilitate ideation, writing, and execution of original creative concepts.
  • Extend client relationships and explore new value delivery methods.
  • Present and review creative work with management and account teams.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, collaborating with in-house and third-party resources.
  • Provide leadership and professional development to department staff.
  • Mentor and train team members, write performance reviews, and allocate work.

Requirements

  • Agency background or equivalent experience required.
  • Portfolio must include digital campaign work (social, mobile, web).
  • Must be a conceptual thinker and a hands-on creator.
  • Experience in the tech industry is essential.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in a relevant field.
  • Solid knowledge of the creative development process and ability to guide teams effectively.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong people-management and coaching skills.
  • Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience.
  • Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills.
